Yes
Putters now owned by
a US company started as a
dream of golf enthusiast and
engineer Harold Swash.
Harold Swash these days has a
cult following around the
world. We spent some
time with Harold at the US
golf show and I could not
believe my eyes as many
professional and members of
the public were cueing up to
have there picture taken with
Harold.
Harold is not only an
acclaimed engineer of the Yes
Golf technology but has been
one of the top putting coaches
in the world for many years.
Yes Golf have
take golf technology to a
different level offering
custom fit options in all of
their putter range and we at
4golfonline offer a full
fitting service onsite as a
Yes golf fitting centre.
The Yes putter range has
something for everyone from
the mallet to the blade shaped
head. But behind the
technology comes the c-groove
technology, which helps
to reduce dimple error and
aids a perfect roll.
Ball roll – (top spin)
on your putts is so important
to distance control and to
keep the putt on your intended
direction. This is were
Yes make all of their putter
as standard at 2.5 degree loft
aiding the creation of top
spin on your putts.
We at 4golfonline can offer a
loft fitting service from our
Exeter fitting centre so
please contact us if a custom
fit loft option is required.
So how do we get
top-spin? It’s all
about striking the ball in
your upswing hence a forward
ball position in the stance is
vital. Then the actual
loft of the putter at impact
needs to be lower than the
rise angle. This places
the vector 9power direction)
above the centre of the ball
creating a topspin
action. If the loft is
too high and above the rise
angle of your strike the ball
in the downswing then you will
create backspin.
